In the beginning God created man using as His main material the dust of the ground. He created us perfect, in harmony with all His laws, including the natural laws. Adam and Eve were placed in the middle of nature living and working in the Garden of Eden. Their diet was in perfect accord with the chemical composition of their bodies. They ate, according to the Holy Bible, raw food, that came from the ground. “And God said, “I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food”. Gen 1:29
“In the surroundings of the holy pair was a lesson for all time, that true happiness is found, not in the indulgence of pride and luxury, but in communion with God through His created works.” Adventist Home p. 132, E.G. White
This was before man’s fall. After the fall God had to change man’s original diet. He added another element to the diet, vegetables. “Thorns and also thistles shall it bring forth to thee; and thou shall eat the herb of the field.” Gen 3:18. Grains, fruits, nuts and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator.
With the sunshine, the air, the water, and the soil, the plants received their vital nutrients which they transform into vital energy for human beings.
“SOIL may be defined as a thin layer of earth's crust, which serves as a natural medium for growth of plants. It is the unconsolidated mineral matter that has been subjected to, and influenced by, genetic and environmental factors-- parent material, climate, organisms and topography all acting over a period of time. Soil differs from the parentmaterial in the morphological, physical, chemical and biological properties.

French Green superfine clay - Montmorillonite.
Product of France.
French green clay is the most superior and most active clay. It has superior absorbancy capacity, cleanses, clarifies and purifies the skin. This clay is extracted by hand, it is very pure, soft and revitalising. Its use gives remarkable results.
Les argiles du soleil - French Clays
French clays have been mined in the South of France, near the small city of Apt. Climatically, this region enjoys an above average number of sunny days (more than 260 per year). This is important because the more sun, the more active the clay. After mining, the clays are sun dried, as opposed to water cleaned to extract quartz or other crystals. This is important as the clay retains 100% of its natural trace elements ensuring activity levels are at their highest. High levels of trace elements ensure high efficacy from the clay.
About clays
There are a variety of clays types that can be found on the market. Quality and efficacy can vary greatly. Mine location, weather conditions and mineral breakdown are the key things to look for when quality is important to you. The Les Argiles du Soleil clay range from the South of France offers the best on all these fronts.
Clays offer two key properties – Absorption
Capacity and Ionic Exchange Power.
- Absorption Capacity is the clays ability to absorb liquids, much like a sponge. The quality of the minerals in the clay affects this.
- Ionic Exchange Power means that every type of clay exchanges its minerals to some extent with the body. The higher the exchange rate the more powerful the clay.
The cosmetic purpose of clays is to cleanse and revitalise the skin, bringing out its natural radiance and beauty. Clays will draw out dirt and impurities from the skin's pores, allowing the skin to breathe and glow. Clays will also smooth and soften the skin, leaving it feeling youthful and toned. They can be used topically on the face and body in the form of a mask.
Clay types
Montmorillonite clay – is reputed to be the best quality clay due to the high levels of magnesium. It contains oxides of iron, aluminium, magnesium, manganese, silica and calcium. Its purity, Absorption Capacity (20%) and high Ionic Exchange Powers (60-70 Mg/g) make it far superior to ordinary green clays.
Illite clay – is rich in calcium carbonate. Its Absorption Powers (30%) are able to draw out impurities. The Ionic Exchange is 6-8 Mg/g.
Kaolin – is rich in silica and mineral salts. It is less absorbent than green clay, thus very gentle and softening on the skin.
Blend – The pink has been balanced to produce clay that is gentle and most suited to sensitive and delicate skin.
